背景

回忆梅是一种有知觉的水果，首次被麦奇老师在其办公室中使用。接着，史蒂芬·斯多奇 将它们介绍给兰迪·马什. 在 "回忆之莓"剧集中，它们被 J·J·艾布拉姆斯 介绍，当时美国政府首脑们说“我们需要你的回忆梅”，恳求他重振国歌。

回忆梅的主要功能是回忆起曾经流行的文化元素，提及一段昔日美好时光，带回怀旧情感。它们最常提起星球大战三部曲中的经典的时刻与元素。

然而，它们也会作出守旧的评论，比如回忆起只有异性婚姻的时候，美国没有那么多墨西哥人的时候，以及罗纳尔多·里根时代。

在"表情分析法" 剧集中，看见一颗普通的回忆梅被做实验，它们似乎对周围环境有所察觉。于是它们逃离了兰迪马什的家，并挟持了另一个回忆梅人质，将其扔进 凯特琳·詹纳 的饮料中。

回忆梅似乎坚不可摧，有一颗回忆梅在被火烧、被酸浇、被点击后安然无恙。但是，它们是可以被挤碎、被吃掉的。

外貌

它们看起来像是一般的葡萄，每颗都长着脸，说话音调尖细。有一颗叫塔布斯的回忆梅，比其他同类大，且声音低沉。此外，还有三颗较为年长的回忆梅。

性格特征

回忆梅是习语“吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸”的真实显现，指对于自己得不到的东西持有一种消极态度。

起初，它们只回忆八九十年代的流行文化，主要是星球大战和托托“非洲”的原声带，但他们也有另一面，也会回忆那些年的保守与种族歧视思想观念。

从“表情分析法”剧集起，它们更加意识到了兰迪和加里森先生企图毁灭它们整个种族，于是一个5颗（之后为6颗）回忆梅小分队逃离了兰迪的家，启程谋杀另一颗回忆梅，将其推进凯特琳珍妮的饮料中。那颗回忆梅并没有表现出求饶，再被推进饮料中它说“好的，我记得！”。由此推断，只要是被吃掉，回忆梅就不怕死亡。

然而，一群年老的回忆梅似乎想要所有人回忆起历史上的暴力岁月，比如纳粹德国一战冲锋队。

回忆莓在游戏中有着纯支线的地位，可以通过和他们对话来标记找到它们。寻找到回忆莓可以在角色信息中获得“回忆者”这一头衔，也可以提升这一头衔的等级，相应地带来奖励。

一共有十四处回忆莓，在南方公园各处出现。每一堆回忆莓在交谈的时候都会发出一些不同的声音，产生独特的对话。

和耽美画作与厕所很类似，他们所在的位置虽然会随着剧情的发展出现，却不会随着剧情的发展消失，所以在游戏主线剧情结束之后你还可以将它们全部收集到。但是注意，有些回忆莓尽管有确定的位置，却在一些条件满足之前不会出现。
