更改：辛普森一家

《辛普森一家》是一部讲述同名的、充满各种关系障碍的家庭的电视剧。它首次于1989年播出，并一直持续至今。

该节目也存在于《南方公园》的世界观中，这在在“辛普森做过了”一集中表现尤为突出。至少有一个《辛普森一家》的角色在《南方公园》实际出场，即巴特·辛普森，他在“卡通战争·下”中与埃里克·卡特曼会面。尽管《南方公园》和《辛普森一家》是竞争对手，但特雷·帕克、马特·斯通和《辛普森一家》的创造者马特·格罗宁却彼此钦佩。

背景

"艾克的小弟弟"

有一个司机向麦奇老师喊了一声“Dope”，而这是《辛普森一家》中霍默·辛普森的口头禅。

"辛普森做过了"

在第六季的剧集“辛普森做过了”中，巴特斯·斯多奇以混沌教授的身份企图使南方公园陷入混乱之中。但是道基不断提醒他他的主意并非原创，因为这些想法在《辛普森一家》中都已经出现过了。

巴特斯计划挡住太阳，这出自“Who Shot Mr. Burns?”。
巴特斯计划把雕像的头割下来，这出自"The Telltale Head"。
巴特斯计划向小镇出售城轨，然后卷钱逃跑，这出自"Marge vs. the Monorail"。
巴特斯计划建立一个网站，以发布关于镇民的谣言，这出自"The Computer Wore Menace Shoes"。
巴特斯计划埋藏一具带翅膀的骨架，让人们相信这是天使，这出自"Lisa the Skeptic"。
巴特斯计划让世界杯在小镇举办，以煽动一场球迷暴乱，这出自"The Cartridge Family"。
巴特斯用电子油漆搅拌机来搅动啤酒罐，这出自"So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show"。

这一集的主要剧情是卡特曼饲养了一群海洋生物，这些生物不断进化，并把他当做造物主来崇拜。而这也是对于“Treehouse of Horror VII”中“The Genesis Tub”的模仿，在该集中，莉莎意外地在脱落的牙齿上培育出了一个文明。

在该集最后，巴特斯变得神志不清，这使他对南方公园居民和地理的认识产生了幻觉，从而把他们认成和《辛普森一家》中出现的人物一样。《南方公园》的角色和被认成的《辛普森一家》里的角色对应关系如下：

"卡通战争·下"

在“卡通战争·下”中，埃里克·卡特曼与《辛普森一家》中的主要角色之一，巴特·辛普森会面，因为他们有共同的对于《恶搞之家》的仇恨。两人为让《恶搞之家》被腰斩协力合作。但是当凯尔对巴特进行了他的“娘炮小演讲”之后，巴特改变了自己的想法。

"该屎的麻烦"

汉基先生在因为他在南方公园表现的种种冒犯性行为而被放逐之后，搬到了春田镇。

《辛普森一家》的角色眼睛和是南方公园的画风，而其他部分则和《辛普森一家》本来的画风相似。
有的角色的衣服颜色、发型和原版有所不同，这是为了避免版权问题。
- Mayor Quimby is shown to be wearing light blue suit and has a short hairstyle when in the actual series he wears a purple suit and has longer hair.
- Moe Szyslak is shown to be wearing a purple bowtie, green shirt and straight hair when in the actual series he wears a dark blue bowtie, light blue shirt and has curly hair.
- Krusty the Clown is shown to be wearing an indigo shirt, blue pant and pink shoe when in the actual series he wearing light pink shirt, green pant and red shoe
- Nelson Muntz Clown shown to be wearing blue shirt
- Milhouse Van Houten
- Lisa Simpson is shown wearing a magenta colored dress and light pink pearl necklace, whereas on the actual series she wears a red dress and white pearl necklace.
- Apu wears a blue jacket, dark indigo blue dress shirt and tan pants. In the actual series, he wears a green sweater, black dress shirt and light tan pants.
- Patty and Selma retain the same necklace color from the Simpsons except Selma has her hair squared and a light brown blouse.
- Barney Gumble is shown to be balding with some grey hair and wearing a light blue polo shirt with left pocket and red/white bowling shoe. In the actual series, he has a full head of brown hair, wears an orange polo shirt with no pocket and blue/white show.

Simpsons references to South Park

In the Simpsons episode "The Bart of War", Bart and Milhouse watch a "brand new episode of South Park". The episode features Stan, Kyle, and Cartman in concert. There O.J. Simpson attacks and murders the band members. Cartman eventually gets decapitated. Marge Simpson finds the show too violent and turns off the TV. Kenny is absent from this parody, likely due to his permanent death in South Park. Only Stan, out of him, Kyle and Cartman, has a speaking role.

Coincidentally, due to the blending of the two shows' animation styles, the boys appear similarly in this parody as in "The Simpsons Already Did It" except for their usual beige skin color.

In The Simpsons episode "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?", Bart, Milhouse, Nelson and Ralph stand at a bus stop respectively dressed up as Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. Otto crashes his bus into Ralph and exclaims, "Oh my God, I killed Kenny".

The chalkboard gag on The Simpsons episode "The Squirt and the Whale" is: "South Park - We'd stand beside you if we weren't so scared". It references the Muhammad controversy from the South Park episode "201". After the episode "Cartoon Wars Part I" aired, The Simpsons writers sent Parker and Stone flowers to thank them.

"Treehouse of Horror XXV" - A version of the Simpsons family in South Park-style animation appears at the end of the episode; with Bart wearing Stan's hat, Lisa wearing Kyle's hat and Maggie Simpson looking like the South Park-version of a Canadian, similarly to Ike.

"The Cad and the Hat" - In the couch gag for this episode, Homer notices that the portrait of the sail boat on the wall is missing and Bart accuses another animated series for stealing it. As a result, Homer travels into the South Park universe (which he describes as a "third grade diorama") and parodies of The Boys appear, Homer asks them if they stole his portrait, to which they respond by cussing at him.

Trivia

Nancy Cartwright was at one point approached to star in South Park, but rejected the offer.
Some fans refer to Hans Moleman as The Simpsons version of Kenny McCormick since they both get killed in many episodes.
